*Token tied on my big toe*

Maybe
Plastic bags aren’t my home
to get in and respire
Because
I chipped it with my fore tooth
to let my poignant air out.

Every time my heart skips a beat
during my sleep
when I slip from one step to another
I squelch my bed unconsciously taut
Not to let my depression win.

When the sky thought
of touching the soil
I tried to help it
by kissing the rope
and kicking the chair
But
I chunter to all the women I know
and to the women I will never know in my life
Your box will not submerge in the river
because you aren’t a stone to sink in.

The incisively pointed knife
glistened into my eyes
It slitted every vein of mine
and made love with it moaning
Oh yeah, oh yeah honey
this is the way people slice your heart
with their knife in their mouth.

Blood bedeweding the floor drop by drop
I grumble to all the men I know
and to the men I will never know in my life
Your box will not submerge in the river
because you aren’t a stone to sink in.
