Switching between
the news channels and my thoughts
the latter blared, as always
yet no one heard them
just like that 13 y/o girl’s holler.

Wish she is positive
inside out
Because,
viruses are much faster these days.

Well, let’s walk past the road
and wash our blood soaked feet.

You need to protect yourself
from the one
who is supposed to protect you.

And the lockdown continues…

Wash your hands for 20 seconds
Wash, wash, wash
Unaware that,
a lot of people
are cleansing their tum
thrice a day.

A wet white cloth on the belly
salved the next day meal.

As the days passes by
they rolled it from head to toe
Deciding to stay at home,
they locked the doors
with the iron nails
at the four edges.

And the lockdown continues…
